Helping European Companies Do Business in the U.S.A.

Welcome to C.A.S.E.

C.A.S.E. stands for the Council of American States in Europe, which was founded in 1971 in Brussels by two co-founding members to promote the United States as a destination for foreign companies to expand their business, in order for them to become local companies, employ local people and boost the economic development of local communities. Today it has an active membership of 17 U.S. states with full-time offices in different European countries. It is the official state-supported organization in Europe, which provides initial information, answers questions and identifies professional service providers for those companies wanting to establish or expand business in the United States. Its members are the official European representatives of individual U.S. state governments.

What We Offer

Visas & Immagration

Direct investments in the United States can be made without the requirement of a visa. If, however, you wish to manage your U.S. company or if qualified personnel need to be transferred from the parent company to the subsidiary, visas and often work permits become an important item to be considered.

HR & Employment

Finding qualified personnel is one of the most important factors when selecting the ideal location for a subsidiary in the United States. C.A.S.E. economic development experts recommend that you research this subject well and take professional advice from a labor attorney and/or a HR consultant.

C.A.S.E realize that taxation is one of the key areas that interest a European company when looking at expansion to the USA. That is why each member state works with their own network of Certified Public Accountants (CPA's) who have both the language skills and expertise to advise you.

Insurance enables a company to obtain the necessary protection against the ever-changing risks of doing business. Common types of business insurance in the US include Property Insurance, Workers' Compensation Insurance, Liability Insurance, Business Crime Insurance, and Business Auto Insurance.

Legal & Regulation

The legal system in the United States can appear overwhelming at first glance principally because each state has its own unique set of laws, regulations, and administrative procedures. A licensed attorney can help you effectively navigate the system and is essential to establish a presence in the U.S.
